The campsite
An idyllic campsite on the edge of the Drenthe village of Meppen, in a wooded, quiet setting. On the grounds there is a pond where the frogs croak in the evening and wildflowers bloom.
In brief
All pitches are at least 100 m², some comfort pitches are as much as 150 m².
Electricity everywhere and very good wifi across the entire site.
On the comfort pitches you have water and drainage: no hauling water tanks around.
Available on standard and comfort pitches.
The site
You pitch your caravan or tent on a small field, a large field, with trees, without trees or by the little pond. Each pitch has wooden decking ready as a "parquet floor" for your awning or canopy. Plastic sheeting or ground cover fabric is not allowed; your tent carpet is fine, with or without decking.
The campsite is car-free: your car stays in the car park, and you bring your groceries to your pitch with a trolley.
The Windroos
That is what the name of our central building says about what you'll find there.
A professional washing machine and dryer, leaflet racks full of tips for the area, and our own library with books in all kinds of genres and magazines such as ACSI Campinglife, Caravannen, Roots and Libelle.
On a warm day you can get a delicious Boerderijsje or a chilled drink here, and if you've forgotten something, you can also find groceries.
The fresh eggs from our chickens are restocked every day.
