Welcome to campsite Erfgoed de Boemerang : This letter contains information regarding your stay at our campsite.
If you have any questions after reading this letter, you can visit our Reception during opening hours.
Placing your camping unit :
The wooden stake with the yellow label indicates the pitch number and is also the center of your camping spot. Please place your camping unit at the height of this stake, in line with the bushes, and move it as close as possible to the bushes. (so not at an angle or diagonally!)
If you have a comfort pitch with a water tap, then due to Legionella prevention it is not permitted to leave a water hose connected between the tap and the caravan. In standing water, higher temperatures can cause problems.
Electricity: Electricity 10A and 6 KWh per day (for ACSI, MCC and ANWB card bookings, 4 KWh per day applies).
Consumption is tracked. If there is excess consumption, we will first come by to notify you of this. So if you hear nothing from us, there is no excess consumption and therefore no additional charge for electricity usage.
Car
We are a car-free campsite. After placing your camping unit and unloading your luggage, you can park your car in the parking lot. If the campsite is busy, the 2nd parking lot on the right is also open. If you have done shopping or have other heavy items in the car, you can use a trolley to bring them to your pitch. Would you please return the trolley immediately afterwards? Other people want to use it too.
Wifi
You can use the "gasten erfgoed de boemerang" WiFi network with password: boemerang
Reception opening hours
Our reception is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 and from 13:00 to 15:00.
If no one is present during these times, you can reach us on our mobile number 0683506673. (We don't mind this, you won't disturb us!)
We kindly ask you to call outside these opening hours only for emergencies or urgent matters that really cannot wait. Besides our campsite work, we also have a family, and we ask you to keep this in mind. Our home and garden are private, as indicated by signs, and we expect you to respect this.
On Sunday, the reception is closed. Outside our opening hours, there is an emergency number 0683506673 where we are reachable 24 hours a day.
Windroos
The Windroos building behind the sanitary building is the central area, where you can find, among other things:
- fresh organic eggs from our chickens (4 for 1 euro)
(the eggs have been tested for Pfas and fall within the norms, so they can be safely eaten)
- ice creams and soft drinks for the warm summer days
- library with books and magazines, which you can borrow during your stay. (please return them!)
- brochures about activities in the area.
- forgotten groceries for when you suddenly need something or just for convenience.
- washing machine, dryer and microwave
If you want to buy something at the Windroos, you can put cash into the slot marked “winkel” under the groceries or pay with your phone by scanning the QR code hanging there. (instructions are included)
If you don't have cash or want to exchange money for washing, you can go to the reception during opening hours.
Dogs
Dogs are very welcome on our grounds, however there are a number of obvious rules. We ask you to clean up after your pet; there are plenty of dog waste bags available throughout the campsite. Your dog must also be kept on a leash at all times on the grounds, including in the nature areas around the campsite!
Sanitary facilities
The sanitary facilities have a Ladies (left) and Gentlemen (right) side (also for the toilets). For hot water, all taps have push buttons that activate the hot water. After activation, pressing the button again pauses the timer, and you can resume it by pressing it again.
Cloths are also available at the washing-up area and in the sanitary building. You can use them to clean the washbasins; the cloths can then be placed in the laundry basket. If you prefer not to take the cloths with you, please? We are happy to continue offering this service as long as it is not abused. The (much-loved) blue cloths are available for purchase at reception for home use.
The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and checked in between. Do you have comments or notice an irregularity? Please let us know and we will address it right away. Clean sanitary facilities are very important to us!
Electric bicycle charging point
On our grounds there is a charging point for electric bicycles, where up to 8 bicycles can be charged at the same time. You will find the charging point marked with the letter L on the map.
We kindly ask you to move your bicycle as soon as it is fully charged, so that other guests can also use the charging point.
Mowing and pruning
To keep the campsite looking good, we usually mow the entire site on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Every day we mow the plots that have become free and/or the plots that are about to be occupied again. It may happen that we deviate from these days (for example due to weather conditions). We will also occasionally use the brush cutter. We do this not to annoy you, but to keep the site accessible and attractive. Where possible, we use electric machines to limit noise nuisance. We hope for your understanding. Are you bothered by overhanging branches? Please let us know and we will take care of it. In the tool shed on the side of the Windroos you will find a lawn mower and grass trimmer, so you can keep your pitch tidy yourself if you wish during a longer stay. (Clippings may be put in a rubbish bag in the waste container.) Please do not throw clippings into the bushes, as this starts to smell unpleasant and is not nice for future guests.
Our animals
Various animals are present on the site, such as chickens, Indian runner ducks, goats and alpacas. Some roam freely, while others have their own enclosure. All our animals receive feed that is specially intended for them.
We kindly ask you not to feed our animals so that they remain in good health.
Walking and Cycling
Drenthe is the ideal province for beautiful walking and cycling routes. At reception we sell walking and cycling maps of the immediate area. You can also rent bicycles here (not electric) (10 euros per day, 50 euros per week)
