Great campsite, a unique little spot in a wonderful setting. We love coming here, and the owners are very friendly people,
As a photographer you can get along very well here, so a big thumbs up from us, for the boomerang

We enjoyed the beautiful, clean and quiet campsite.
Alpacas and sheep were our view.
We had sunshine all day, and for us that was wonderful.
Beautiful surroundings, lovely cycle paths, and charming little villages.
A recommendation to visit this campsite and its surroundings.

A very beautiful and quietly located campsite for people over 50.
We have never seen such cleanliness in the shower and toilet buildings, with the necessary disinfectants and shower products.
Very friendly reception, a recommendation for anyone who loves nature and tranquility.

We enjoyed two weeks at this campsite.
Nice, comfortable spot. We also liked the chickens that came by a few times a day to peck at breadcrumbs or similar. One point of criticism is that we were standing in full sun all day (spot 32). With today's climate change, that has become a disadvantage. We had to go sit in the shade on the other side of the field. A shade tree or renting a parasol could offer a solution.Nevertheless, we would gladly come back.

Very beautiful and green campsite. We stayed on a pitch with a view over the meadows and a flock of sheep. It was simply fantastic. Very helpful and friendly owners. The sanitary facilities were top-notch, super clean and luxurious. The surroundings are also beautiful for cycling. The decked platforms are a lifesaver too, especially when the weather is a bit bad. Luckily, we had beautiful weather during our stay. The campsite is highly recommended.

Very beautiful and clean campsite, nice location in the greenery.
Spacious pitches and good WiFi.
Praise for the friendly owners 👌👌

Lovely campsite with many nice glimpses through the greenery. Quiet pitches and dog-friendly. The wooden decks are very handy and fortunately can be found at more and more campsites. Good sanitary facilities and also very good WiFi. Because of the layout of the campsite you get the feeling it is a small campsite, while with 50 pitches I think it is quite a large campsite. It is a shame though that there is a lot of mowing going on around us. Quite a lot of noise....

We have thoroughly enjoyed the past few days at this beautiful green campsite with lots of whistling birds. Very relaxing. Super nice pitches, each with a wooden decking terrace. Beautifully clean sanitary facilities and great opportunities to walk the dog.
Highly recommended!

We stayed at this campsite for a week and a half. Because of the bad weather there was a lot of mud, but cheerful Rob grabbed his big lawn mower and set our caravan in its place. It was a beautiful spot, with a large stack of decking boards that you could use.
The sanitary facilities were clean and nice and equipped with toilet paper, a washbasin, soap and even a toilet seat cleaner. Dispensers with disinfecting liquid hung everywhere. There is a kind of hut with brochures and a great many books. Rob walks around the campsite with his wife and child every evening, which gives you the feeling that you are in good hands. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than we wanted, because our spot had already been booked. We really had a fantastic time and we will certainly come back once more.

A very pleasant campsite, well maintained with beautiful grass pitches!
Nice pitches, including larger and smaller fields!Shower and toilet facilities are spotlessly clean! Under the tent mats you can use wooden decks, which is also very nice! It was a pleasant stay, thank you!

Friends told us about Charme Camping de Boemerang in Meppen. We went to take a look, were impressed, and booked right away. Now that we're here (early September 2020), everything checks out: spacious pitches, with a wide view of the Drenthe landscape in our case, peace and only 'natural' sounds (apart from the necessary lawn mower), handy decks at each pitch, nice and 'really' clean sanitary facilities with soap and dishwashing liquid dispensers, enough disinfectants, fitting the corona measures that were arranged down to the last detail, and the hospitable, friendly and helpful manager. Without a doubt a recommendation as a base for many cycling and hiking trips, directly from the campsite or in the nearby surroundings.

This charming and green campsite is run with great passion by Rob, who keeps the sanitary facilities clean himself, along with his wife and son. This pitch for tents, caravans and motorhomes is ideal for trips into the surrounding area. Bicycle rental, extensive information about sights and even a tasty ice cream are examples of the basic but useful facilities. De Boemerang is a gem in Meppen.

During the period from 26 to 29 July 2018, we (grandpa, grandma and granddaughter) stayed at this beautiful campsite with great pleasure. The pitches are very spacious, attractive and set in nature, and in our case were equipped with water, electricity, drainage and TV connections. During this sunny and warm period there was plenty of cool shade to be found under the many trees and shrubs. The toilet block was also very beautiful and modern, and it was kept extremely clean. The immediate surroundings offer some of the most beautiful cycling routes, so this is a really lovely campsite to set up your tent, caravan or motorhome for a good while. The friendly host and hostess will welcome you warmly.

What a warm welcome from Jan and Tresia upon arrival, even a boomerang with our name on it at the campsite pitch. What a beautiful campsite, lovely spacious pitches and green grass all around you. They manage this campsite with great passion. The sanitary facilities are super clean, and soap dispensers hang everywhere. At the dishwashing area, but also in the showers. What luxury. We have stayed at many campsites in the Netherlands, but this one scores a solid 10. After 19 days we came home last Friday (14 July). Not a second of regret about this choice. Also a beautiful area for cycling.
Jan and Tresia, super thanks and much luck with whatever comes your way. Greetings from Utrecht, Jan and Mary

As far as we're concerned, this campsite deserves not a 10 but an 11 out of 10. Extremely friendly welcome, beautiful pitches, peace and quiet, nature, sanitary facilities we dream of at home, spotless, animal-friendly, and all of this under the management of Tresia and Jan, the most passionate campsite owners we have ever met. What struck us most was that everything that happens here is based on trust. Very special. Jan and Tresia, thank you very much for a fantastic long weekend, and see you in September, because we will definitely be back, also on behalf of the dog and the parrot. Until then.

What a lovely, beautiful and well-kept campsite!
As soon as you arrive and ring the bell, Trisia and/or Jan warmly welcome you, and we were offered a choice of several options for a lovely spot.
We will definitely come back here!

After spending a day "tasting" the place with friends of ours at De Boemerang, we immediately had the feeling that we should grab the caravan and come and stay here.
The peace and quiet, hospitality, hygiene, and layout of the grounds. All the cooperation from Jan and Tresia, simply TOP.
Our summer has begun and it already can't be ruined

Just returned from a fantastic spring break at De Boemerang. We really enjoyed ourselves to the fullest, thanks to the wonderful hosts Tresia and Jan. These hospitable people welcome you to a beautiful campsite with very lovely and spacious pitches. Lovely in the Drenthe nature, Mr. Rooster comes to greet you daily, sometimes with his entourage, and crows (kukelekuuk) across the campsite. Nothing but praise for the sanitary facilities. In our many years of camping experience, we have never found them so clean and tidy. A surgeon could, so to speak, perform an operation there, it is that spotless and fresh.
There is also an enormous amount of attention paid to detail: lovely scents and small cleaning wipes can be found in the 'sanitary block,' the pitches themselves have decking to create a comfortable floor in your (awning) tent, and the grass is very well maintained and mowed, as if it were a billiard table.
This all sounds very sterile, but it contributes greatly to a carefree holiday.
What also struck us is how relaxed everything is here: the atmosphere and willingness of Jan and Tresia to help you with an unexpected problem. It is remarkable how they do this, and it reflects both top entrepreneurship and passion and commitment. Always a friendly word or a moment for a short chat. Very special!
The surroundings are beautifully picturesque beyond expectations, with lovely pittoresque villages (Orvelte!), classic farmhouses and endless views over the fields. A paradise for cyclists and walkers.
We look back on a very pleasant holiday and would now like to return. Unfortunately, box 1 next year also has to be filled in correctly again, and we will first have to earn the next holiday at Erfgoed De Boemerang, although it felt like a kind of 'little present,' this spring break at De Boemerang, or perhaps better yet: with Tresia and Jan. From this place, once again, many thanks for your hospitality, top!
